Your Obama Thought for the Day: The McCain campaign is back on the “he’s inexperienced” horse again, trying to capitalize on Joe Biden’s slightly foot-in-mouth remarks about Obama facing a crisis once he’s in office.

Here’s a thought: Barack Obama has approximately the same level of experience as did John F. Kennedy when he was running for President. And what did John F. Kennedy, inexperienced as he was, do as president when faced with a crisis? Oh, you know…just save the world when it was as close as it’s ever been to nuclear war, that’s what.

The experience thing baffles me. What experience prepares you to be President? Being Vice-President, maybe. Other than that…nothing. No candidate in the field today has any experience that will prepare them for the challenges of the presidency. If there’s any job in the world where you have absolutely no choice but to learn on the job, it’s President of the United States.
